This is a prediction I made a couple or three years ago. I still stand by it. In North America at least, I predict a gradual increase in demand for skilled technical labour. That increase will suddenly become a hockey stick curve. By 2010, there'll be NO qualified labour available for the tech industry and they'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel. I came to this conclusion after some fairly lengthy conversations with friends and associates who work in recruiting and human resources.
