RAID 3 vs. RAID 5 - performance? by Myke2006-03-24 07:45:41
  What I'd like to know: by mpicklesimer1 2006-03-24 08:12:36
Is there a redundant RAID type that I could add disks to? I'm currently using lvm2, which will let me add disks as I need to, but there's no redundancy. I realized this when one of my SCSIs bought the farm and I lost about 200 gigs. So, is there a redundant solution that would allow me to add disks and dynamically restructure the stripes/parity information, or would I have to mirror it to a second lvm array?

    It's moreso a filesystem 'thing'. by Myke2006-03-24 08:42:38
