Oh my poor windows XP install, how do I lovehate you. Let me count the ways:
1. You so *graciously* let me set my account as a power user. Then , with me believing in you, I promptly disable the Administrator account. And after rebooting, you messup _my_ account, such that I now have an 'unknown account type', and can't get account to the 'control userpasswords2' panel. *sniff*
2. You crash Firefox 1.5, and force me to downgrade to 1.0.7. Then you mess that up too, AFTER my account is wrecked. So I can't uninstall/reinstall it.
3. You've messed up the internet settings too. Userfriendly now takes *sniff* ~15 seconds to load. (Just the static page.) Thankfully, you haven't blocked SSH. Ah puTTY, where would I be without you? (Hint: Not here, that's for certain.)
4. After all of the above, you now decide to spontainiously clear my desktop. All those files, gone. *author inserts another sniff here*
If you think you can keep up like this, you've got another thing coming to you... Just wait for a few days. (or a week. Or maybe 2. Or even 3. Which I when I originally planned the reinstall.)
But seriously. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? (Excepting format C:, and rm -rf /media/C:) |
