anybody seen firefoxmyths.com? by Gargravarr2006-11-19 12:55:59
  For starters ... by SciSSorS 2006-03-24 05:36:43
the first one:
"Myth -
"Firefox has lower System Requirements than Internet Explorer"

Reality - Internet Explorer 6.x has much lower minimum System Requirements than Firefox 1.x.

That, of course, depends TOTALLY on your own bias. If I HAVE linux on my machine, or if my machine is the (17MHz) Apple SE/30, MSIE won't run on it. Not crawl, no nothing at all.
In a dos-windows EMULATOR maybe we'll get it to crawling, but still not sure it would work.
But then: who IS still using the SE/30 ? For internet browsing, not for the special app that runs flawlessly without ever changing since 1989 ?

If a browser requires me to install Windows first, that seems to be a very HEAVE "sytem requirement", and mucho costly as well.

Otoh, I don't think FireFox would really run "well" on really-old Linux boxen as well.
As for Firefox-for-Windows ... it's totally irrelevant wether it "works" on any of the older winders, as I won't be able to install them (legally) any more.

I have never installed any Windows upgrade. by kelli2172006-03-24 15:39:03
It's the license that's the issue, not the method. by fudje2006-03-24 17:23:22
