          was only the laptop connected to the second by shminux2006-03-04 19:54:16
            originally it was connected to the first router by texteditor2006-03-04 20:01:47

                Try rebooting both routers (as in pull the power, by radiowave911 2006-03-04 20:15:26
wait a minute and re-apply power). If that doesn't work, you can try pulling power ot the modem for longer, sometimes it takes a while for them to reset completely (I think that has more to do with the ISP server than the box in your house). ALso make sur ethe laptop isn;t trying to connect to two things at oce.

If I plug in my laptop witht he wireless enabled, strange things can ahppen when there is a valid AP nearby. Took me a while to figure out why my connection at work was crap - until I realized I was on two networks simultaneously - one wired and one wireless.
