is completely off (I assume you tried that), I'm out of simple ideas. Well, you can try static IP for the laptop, but it does not look promising. If you can access the logs on the modem, maybe it gives a clue. Other than that, I'd probably resort to something like installing ethereal on both boxes and watching the packets when accessing the site, then matching the logs. It's not for the faint of heart, but it might give a clue to which protocol has trouble. Maybe someone else has better ideas...
