| Netscape Messenging server... |

Using the Netscape LDAP server to handle accounts and policies, would allow you to specify (inside LDAP) where to send errors. I set it up to send the errors to my admin account. Every time somebody sent email to a mailing list, an error was generated for each address in the mailing list that didn't exist. It got annoying because the helpless desk was SUPPOSED to manage the mailing lists, but didn't.
When I got fired, they changed my email password, but I still had directory manager access to the LDAP server. I used it to reset my email password and download my mailboxes. It would have been SO easy to set the error destination address to be a mailing list. The police probably would have knocked on my door about that, though. |
