All of them in Vista need to be digitally signed by a signing authority like Verisign under a particular 'authorized driver author' public key thing. This is good in that you can trace driver responsibility. It's bad in that Microsoft can arguably convince Verisign to fail to authorize any drivers it doesn't agree with. I'll have to see how that plays out. In the meantime, there aren't enough 64 bit drivers anyway, so I'm sticking with XP.
