Guy calls us here on the Helldesk and says he's got some dead mice that need replacing. There's no procedure for mouse replacements, so I e-mail the Asset Managers to see what to do. I get told that there's no stock of the mice needed and to get a tech out. I call the guy back, and he basically says "Stuff it, I'll go out and buy some". Then I get an e-mail saying that it depends on the type of PC they have as to what's going to happen - replacing them from stationary (wtf?), shipping from a warehouse (if in stock) or buying new and shipping. The latest is from the Service Delivery Manager here asking what has been communicated to the user etc etc... Should I tell them that he's getting his own or just sit back and enjoy the debate?
