GPS suggestions - Help by hieraco2006-11-19 12:55:59
  I've played with 5-6 different handheld units and by techi870 2006-01-24 15:05:31
I don't know of anything that will do everything you want. Here is what I do know:

1)Most GPSs will track up to 1000 waypoints
2)You can download the waypoints but it may not go striaght to EXIF data
3)On a set of standard AA batteries I get 16-20 hours of use.
4)You can set the GPS to record a track log either by time or distance.
5)Most outdoor GPSs will fit in your hand and very rugged. One of mine has survived a ATV rollover already.

The base model that I recomend to most people is the eTrex Legend. It contains a nice north america base map and has 8Mb of space to add more maps. I've also been very impressed with my Garmin GPS Map60CS but it costs 2.5 times the eTrex.
