GPS suggestions - Help by hieraco2006-11-19 12:55:59

Any of the Garmin eTrex range will fulfill most of those requirements.

For 2, no GPS will output EXIF data, but there are many programs to correlate the timestamp on an image with a tracklog and update the image's EXIF data with the latitude and longitude.

For 3, 24 hours is probably a bit optimistic. The eTrex GPSes run off 2 AAs, and I typically use a pair of 1800mAh NiMH batteries. If you carry a spare pair, you'd probably have about 24 hours' use.

For 4, the eTrexes will record continual tracklogs, but as far as I know, you can't set them to record at intervals.

And eTrex GPSes are definitely 5.
