I was in the middle of going through this week's lesson for one of my online and eLearning crashed.
I had just clicked on the link to go to the next page of the lesson and instead of that page opening I got error messages in both frames. I logged out and got another error message. I go to the homepage and try loging in again and got an error message there.
I call the ITS Help Desk to report it and to see if they know anything about it and the guy said that he didn't know about any problems but when he tried to log in he couldn't. He said that it should be back up soon and that I was the first person to call about it but more people would probably wind up calling about it.
This is annoying as I was on a roll.
Just in case you're interested, here's the error even though it isn't my problem to fix (thankfully) though I am curious as to what the problem is.
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'
Cannot open database requested in login 'UWF'. Login fails.
/d2l/tools/include/_global/libraries/db.lib.asp, line 5
The eLearning system uses Desire2Learn software on the server which I knew ran a M$ server OS even if the error didn't say so as AFAIK nearly every server here runs M$.
Hopefully it'll be back up soon as when I'm finished with this lesson I need to work on the lesson for my other online course.
