If I am not mistaken, these are _mandatory_ in Norway (?) when you are hunting. It's too bad that they have such a bad rep amongst the general public. It would be nice to be able to silence target rifles, especially as suburbs creep closer to outdoor ranges and people get upset with the noise. This, however, is a law that will never change in Canada.
