As others have pointed out, he was granted mercy. He was not certified to use the defibrilators. He was warned not to play with them. Rhoton specifically warned him not to touch her with them. The act of shocking her was not an accident. That was a willful act despite lack of certification and at least two warnings. And that act resulted directly in Rhoton's death. This was not a random accident. It wasn't premeditated murder, but it wasn't a random accident. He is responsible for ignoring the warnings and ignoring his lack of certification.
