"Good kid" or not, he was warned about the hazards and disregarded them. IMO, it's worse than someone carelessly handling a gun. Or someone who has a traffic accident, and because they are a bad driver, they accidentally kill someone in their car, or another car. They can be a "good kid" and still go to prison.

There was No Reason for him to use the paddles like that. Stupidity is No Excuse, and there should be No Mercy.
