Coming from an Irish American family I grew up listening to Tommy Makem and the Clancy Brothers, as well as the other "standards of Irish folk music" (I've had "Hearty and Hellish" on vinyl, cassette, and CD). I got a chance to briefly meet Mr. Makem at the Milwaukee Irish Fest about ten years ago when he was hanging out by the CD booth. Heck of a nice guy. :)
