In my understanding DVD-R is more compatible	by afterburner	2006-01-24 06:34:29
with standalone DVD players. DVD+R might not work. The difference is the format how the data is written on the disc. I'm sure someone else can give a more extensive explanation if you want. _{Almost useless answer :-P}
