| from first hand experience: *nix is going to aggravate the living h4 out of you. Don't let it get you down though, stick with it. It's well worth it. I switched my Windows box over to Debian about 6 months ago and, even though there's been a lot of research done and hair pulled, it's worth it. I won't ever run a Windows server product again if I can help it. Since then, I've also played with Solaris a bit, and I'm in the middle of researching OpenBSD to run as a firewall, and I couldn't be happier. But, as I'm sure you know, there are a lot of people here that I know can answer these questions you have just as they did for me, and I'm sure they're willing to help you too.
