Weird ExPee error: by carthax 2005-12-19 17:55:06
On boot, immediately after POST:

Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information.

Anyone have a clue? I have tested with other disks, and the BIOS can't see them. They are not "known good" disks, however, so they might possibly be bad -- no ca-chunk noises, though. If I choose to repair the current installation of XP, the system will boot up properly once. I get the above error every time thereafter until I reload XP again.

Any ideas?
