ps -eaf shows just the normal mail processes

top -d1 shows that, currently top and ssh are taking up the "most" resources (2.9 % of cpu and 0.4% of memory). as I let top run, exim, clamd, pop3d and spamd processes pop up to the top of the list for a short time and then drop back down.
