Well... it *was* working... by niwikki 2005-12-19 14:56:32
A few days ago, I set up my new mac to work as the network's print server. I then set up my PC laptop to print through those networked printers, and tested it. Worked fine.

Then I changed the name of the mac, cuz I decided it needed a shorter name (something other than "$Firstname $Lastname's Mac mini")... and I updated the setup on the PC laptop to match.

Now it won't print. It won't even admit it's not printing... the print jobs simply don't end up reaching the printer. I've got the printer status window open, and the fact that I've sent a job for printing never shows up there.

Any clue what I'm doing wrong or how to go about troubleshooting this? I've already gone through Microsoft's printer troubleshooter and it's determined that it can't help me. I know the network's working because I've also networked a drive and I can access that fine. It's just the printers.

Thanks!
