meetings over the net by dennismv 2005-12-19 14:42:42
well I've tried to meet over 8 people from online for friends and I can say that most just don't show up. Thus instead of something terrible happening, they just didn't show up.
(This included one time when someone wanted to meet me at almost midnight in the back of a deserted middle school and it was freezing cold). That was all before I was 18. I suppose I took some chances in some of those. Later one person who didn't show up told me that they were just scared, so that's why they didn't want to meet. But now they would like to.

Back to the topic though. I don't know the person. However, the purpose of my meeting is safe (i.e. it's not to get in their pants or something), place of meeting can be arranged to whatever we like. We've over 18, so the fears of someone snatching you up are less. So I don't know, you could be right or they're really just not interested, but to be polite they said they are. (Though when someone says that they are "definitely interested", it sounds to me stronger than if they are just "interested")
