A full backup for us is ~2TB. by hadji 2005-12-19 14:26:29
A differential is ~0.5TB.

We ask a vendor to spec out a backup to disk solution with enough capacity for our production data, and for 14 days of retention for the backups.

The vendor specs out ~6TB of Fiber Channel drives (higher cost disk for production data) and 1.6TB of ATA drives (lower cost disk for backups).

Can I throw out their quote based on their being idiots who don't pay attention to customer specs? Nope. I have to call them back and ask them to correct the situation. *sigh*

Question: Will your backup size ever grow? by ChuckAB2005-12-19 14:39:21
Yes. But we're looking at a scalable array. by hadji2005-12-19 14:40:39
