trying to understand people by dennismv 2005-12-19 13:32:21
I ask a person to do some acting for a short movie I'm making and that there is monetary pay for it. I ask them if they are interested.

They say, yes they are definitely interested.

I tell them great, let's do it. I want to meet them first as to see if they are what I'm really looking for, as one can't see a person by pictures only.

They don't reply.

I ask again saying that place and time can be of their choosing (for most convenience to them).

There's no reply.

I'm currently puzzled. A situation like this happens not the first time, so maybe I'm not doing something right here.

Do I perhaps need to set a deadline and a specific compensation ?
Like say "I'll pay you $50 for this amount of hours at this place for doing this. Deadline is next Monday ? "
And if nothing happens until Monday I assume the person is not interested and move on ?
