"Tolerance" swings both ways. by esbita 2005-12-19 12:10:55
This person has a right to their own opinion, but they're still being a jerk. This sort of hostility would be akin to being hostile to a German person if you come from an ethnic/religious group that ended up in the camps in great numbers. It doesn't make sense and you come across as a jerk for acting that way toward someone who had no individual culpability for something that happened to your *ancestors.* Not you. Your *ancestors.*

Bah. If a Christian expresses even slight derision for the beliefs/customs of another religion, he's flame-bait. It doesn't matter that he has a right to his own opinion, he will pay dearly for it. But the "oppressed minority" gets free pass, again.
