to see if there's an option window (like asking about shortcuts to install) that's popped up behind the install screen? I've had a few installs hang because it put the last box of options where I couldn't see and had to alt+tab to switch it and finish the setup. That's a long-shot but something to try. Have you changed any of your drives configurations lately? are they all set master/slave or at cable select (cable select will do funny things from my experiences it's best to set the master and slave on the controller and save it having to set itself) if nothing else, remove the drives from teh IDE controller, reboot without, then shit down, reattach the drives and make sure hte cables are tight and reboot and see if it changes back to detecting drives. my $0.02, hope it helps IHBP
