*ANY* ACH request to a bank account by classic_jon 2005-12-19 11:56:44
is considered valid unless contested. If I got the info off of your check in a grocery store and then used it to purchase something the transasction WILL go through until you contest it and fill out an affadavit (sp?)

This is why you should balance your account and check it frequently. They can make an ACH request and the money will be gone within two business days of the request. If you don't catch it within a week or so, depending on the type of transaction, your chances (or the banks) of recovering it go down dramatically.
