finding.

they were looking into infection rates based on various practices, and one of the things they recorded was chopped winkies.

men who had been snipped showed a reduced risk of transmission (something statistically significant like 10 or 15%) from female partners. the guess was that it somehow altered the skin tension on the shaft altering how microscopic tears in it allowed in infection. it did nothing to reduce male -> female transmission.
