Framemaker woes by JimK2005-12-19 04:05:57
Framemaker Classroom in a Book by mortaine 2005-12-19 11:18:07
is the de-facto guide to getting started.

You want unstructured Framemaker for now. That'll set a preference which you can change later, but won't be prompted for every time you make a new document.

You can create either a "composite document" which is called a Book in Frame, or you can create a standalone document.

Changes to the layout/look and feel are done in the Master Pages (under the View menu), and using the paragraph styles. If you've ever used HTML+CSS to make context-based style ID's (ex: div style="title"), then you'll understand why you want to use paragraph styles for any text-level formatting.

Feel free to email me as well if you have queries-- I know voxwoman also offered. My addy is my username at gmail.
