When I bought my Civic Hybrid, I took delivery of the vehicle on signing. It was another 2 weeks before my aftermarket goodies were done, but the car was mine and delivered right there and then, in the right color. I'd been shopping for it for about 3 days and called the dealer the day before to tell them when I'd be by to pick it up. No wait. No fuss.
