I talked to the foreman a couple times during construction... he was not impressed. Apparently the city council stalled on zoning changes after the ground was cleared, that held things up for a while. Then the builder arranged for some shonky subcontractors to do various pieces of work - they tended not to show up when expected, pushing timelines further and further. Flooring was to be done by a friend's (of the builder) company... they ran about 2-3 months behind schedule. All in all, a pretty crappy job.
