:-)

I'd love to find out what happened with the townhouse complex next door.

10 units, people started moving in in the last two weeks. The retaining wall for the driveway is being poured today, the drive will be paved soon after (I would guess).

They cleared the lot around about May. *2004*.

Broke ground for construction around September. *2004*

Framing started around January time-frame.

Around July, they still hadn't got the walls over the frame. Went away for 3 weeks and came back... walls almost done. Meanwhile, a large (about 3000sf I think) house went from a hole in the ground to siding while I was gone :-)

From what we hear, the houses were all sold last year around September or so. Then they all fell through somewhere along the way (time expiry or somesuch). Then they all sold again by Aprilish.

The kicker to this is that we got to see the quality of construction for such a long time... poor is being charitable.

Total cost per unit... approx. 330,000 CDN.

E-freaking-gad!
