There are some parents who think their kid's s4 doesn't stink; that they are "so mature for their age" and also actually truly believe that letting them make all their own decisions (at 11 or even YOUNGER) is "helping them to grow up" - yes, they are really that clueless. These are people who have some mental disorders of their own (but are functional in the world), and wouldn't know a boundary if it came an bit them on the behind. They also don't believe in personal responsibility at any level (including their own) and are usually really good at assigning blame for all their woes to others. I'm just glad nobody got shot.
