Okay, here's a brain-breaking gun story... by Ravenlock 2006-11-19 12:55:59
no, seriously. Warning. Brain breaking ahead.

Teacher Charged After Son Brings Gun to School

Only the first three paragraphs are really necessary, so I'll just quote them with some emphasis.
The 11-year-old son of a special education teacher twice brought a loaded handgun to the elementary school where he was a student and his mother taught, authorities said.

Linnea C. Holdren, 43, was suspended from her position and charged with two felony counts of child endangerment for allegedly giving the boy the .22-caliber pistol, officials in Luzerne County said.

"I can't lock up his guns. They belong to him, and he has a right to use them whenever he wants to use them," [Ravenlock's note: ??!!?!?!?!?!??!!?!] Holdren allegedly told state police after they offered to give her a free gun lock, according to a police affidavit.
As you can see, I nearly ran out of emphasizing possibilities there. The situation is so riddled with lunacy, I really couldn't even figure out where to start. Or stop.
