ya know... that other computer I was talking about also had the bios batter halfway installed. The user (my friend) had tried to reset this bios (for whatever reason) and because of the position of the vid card he couldn't fit his hand back in to push the battery all the way down. Maybe you have a dead battery or it just popped loose. I've never seen that happen but there's always time for a first. I replace my battery once a year anyway.
