| At my previous job that rode a bike. He joined one of those riding clubs (the kind you find doing extended wheelies down the George Bush Turnpike in Dallas, doing tricks with their grind plates, etc.), who ended-up in ICU after wiping out on his bike. Here's the kicker... when he wiped out, he wasn't doing any tricks, riding normal on both tires... just happened to hit a slick patch on the Turnpike on the way to work, skidded, rolled, and landed in the ICU at the hospital. It's kind of ironic that it happened when he wasn't fooling around, and only going 70 (remember, we're talking about Dallas standards, here). |
