and it appears they the only way to make them care is to inconvenience them. They did try suspensions with no effect. Probably because the kid sits at home (no extra work for the parents.)Perhaps monetary fines, and a court appearance (which Mom or Dad has to attend) might work.

I don't like it, but it might be a better solution then expulsions, which only means the kids have NO chance of getting away from their poor upbringing.

Agree about the corporal punishment, but that's not gonna happen in the next decade.
