Persons caught using spaces in Unix filenames by wheresthefish2005-12-19 02:26:44
  Finally!! by tom- 2005-12-19 02:59:01
..those spaces have been there too long. It's about time someone put their foot down and did something about that, that.. plague!!

True story, I've hidden the true directory name to protect it:
Someone at w**k named a directory "This Directory" on an ftp server. Someone asked me to put files in that directory and I refused because of the bad name, "with spaces and everthing".. So someone then renamed the directory to "This_Directory" and asked me again. I eventually did, but I just can't understand why anyone would not see why, *why* the directory should be named "this_directory"!!!

People..

If only there were no [space bar] or Shift or Caps Lock keys. When there are, as today, Murphy is right.

pffft,_whod_mind_writing_like_this?
