...is in intentionally calling the course "Mythology". That's enough of an insult to be read both as an insult and as anti-religious.

And I also think that, aside from trying to force religious concepts into school curriculum, many of the ID folken are trying also to use the topic to slap science squarely in the face.

There's enough animosity built up over this issue. KU's reaction in creating this class at this time is wrong, regardless of the reason they're using to justify it.
