The restrictions on religion in government by BloodyViking 2005-11-30 07:37:07
are not unlike those faced by every other ideology. They must present their case based on facts and logic, not on simple faith or religious doctrine.

You may not want to impose your religion on others, but many religious people Do want to, and they will use every means at their disposal (often in direct violation of their own religious doctrine) to do so.

Not one of those example "imposes values" on anyone. All they do is Allow those whose values would Not be violated to perform those acts.

The prohibition of any of those Would be the imposition of values on everyone. The Lack of a prohibition does not.

The religious folk Can and Do champion their values. That is fine. What would Not be fine would be if they got their way, and could use the force of law to impose their values on Everyone.
