Boondocks on Preparedness by DesertRat662006-11-19 12:55:59

Nothing wrong with being prepared by Egaeus 2005-11-29 20:30:25
especially for natural disasters, which is why I want all gas appliances in my house, a well, and a generator. However, there is a reasonable limit. I mean, which of the following is the better idea:

1: A 6 month stockpile of food and water for every person so that they can isolate themselves in case of a bird flu pandemic?

2: Research into make more effective bird flu vaccines and a vaccine and Tamiflu stockpile so that most, if not all, people can get vaccinated and/or treated in case of a bird flu pandemic?

Of course, I'm asking this of someone with a basement full of guns in preparation for the Second Civil War and likely a room full of food and water left over from Y2K, so somehow I know what the answer will be....

As far as Aaron MacGruder goes, do you read his comic? Do you watch the show? His characters are conspiracy theorists, from 9/11 to AIDS. If that reflects his opinions, then he's a nut, plain and simple.
