A Q for you all: would you be on a reality show? by voxwoman 2005-11-29 14:30:15
I just got an email looking for (specifically) Wiccan families to be on ABC's "Wife Swap" - which I'm assuming is their competition for Fox Network's "Trading Spouses" -- and I'll bet they are directly planning to do something like what Trading Spouses did a few weeks ago. They are offering 20K for the "priveledge" of being on TV.

I called the producer (who sent me the email) and left a message to get more information. Personally, I have very mixed feelings - it's one week out of my life (not bad). 20K is a lot of money. However, my house would be on TV (not good) - and I'm not convinced they could do it here in any case - I got turned down for "Mission Organization" because the rooms are just too small to fit the camera crew.

It would certainly get us publicity and as a musician, that's never a bad thing (and both me and my spouse have bands).

I probably won't do it myself, but they are offering a finder's fee to someone who finds them a family that meets their criteria.

would you do this hypothetically?
