It was very pretty, but aside from that it just felt like playing Yet Another Real Time Strategy Game. I think I'm kind of burned out on RTS's... my favorite in that category has been Rise of Nations for some time, and I don't think AoE III does enough new / different to change that - I prefer the large scope of RoN to the very specific setting of AoE III anyhow. As for Civ IV... there's really nothing else out there like a Civ game, and this is the best one yet. :)
