where there is controversy? I don't accept that.

I have not seen the email of which you speak. There is plenty of material there to work with for a valid and worthwhile class. As long as it is handled as a proper educational class, I don't care much if it was inspired by an urge to tweak the fundies.

A valid course on religious mythologies in modern American which happens to tweak some fundies is a much better use of your tax dollars than the Board of Education debates about whether to put blatantly unscientific ID into science classes over the objection of scientists and teachers alike to make those same fundies happy was.
