to know that we now have definitive evidence that graphics will never be able to compensate for gameplay, at least not on my machine. Doom III and Quake IV are both very pretty games that now have spent less than a day each on my computer in demo form and won't be getting any more than that. I'll be going back to Civ IV, thank you very much. Or, if I need a prettified shooter, I'll boot Half Life 2 up again.
