My aging aunt had a sister who tried to become an actress long, long ago and did make a few appearances as an extra on stage and film. (I never met my other aunt.) She has told me that when a crowd of people were supposed to make murmuring sounds, they would all say to one another: "Araber äter bara rabarber" or "Arabs eat nothing but rhubarb". Silly, but it would probably make the right kind of noise.

Barbarian, as I seem to recall from somewhere else, means "bearded person" in literal latin. (How's that for allitteration?)

Hej Hej.
