Had a bump on the tip of her cervix at one point... They called it Askice, though I don't know how it's spelled. It was caused by being 30 and never pregnant combined with smoking.
A combination of birth control pills, cutting down the smoking...alot... and time got rid of it.
It's easy to treat if found early enough, but left unattended, it can cause bigger problems. I don't know if your sister has a similar situation, but I hope that it is minor, and that it is treated soon enough to prevent long-term damage.
I wouldn't take her wanting no family there personally. In a situaton like that, she needs what's comfortable for her. It may be nothing more than her not wanting to have to deal with the reactions of her family at the same time that she's dealing with it. She also may be concerned that her mother will try to step in and try to decide for her when presented with the treatment options. |
