Our water broke, but we made a little dyke, by klaranth 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Now that I got your attention, our washing machine just died on us and we are looking for a new one.

My thoughts so far go out to a Whirlpool AVM5130 (Dutch site).

The dilemma I am having is the following:
The price of that one is EUR 323.10. There is one here, being basically a no brand name, for just EUR 199.00.

I wonder if there is so much difference between different types/brands of machines, or if there are perhaps just 3-4 factories making the innards of the things, and they just glue another name on it. What should I buy? The reliable Whirlpool one, or the cheap brand?
