Clint Eastwood has just recently completed filming a movie entitled "Flags of our Fathers" about the WW II battle of Iwo Jima, and focusing on the Marines who raised the US flag on Mt Suribachi. Now he's making another movie, entitled "Lamps Before the Wind" this time from a Japanese perspective, using a Japanese screenwriter, about the WW II battle of Iwo Jima, from a Japanese perspective! Both films will be released simultaneously in 2006. Watching the two back-to-back should be an interesting experience. clickie 1 clickie 2
