British Ufies: What the heck is a tv licence? by farfalla2006-11-19 12:55:59
Long live the License Fee ! by gordosan 2005-11-25 13:23:46
We pay £120 a year for two excellent TV channels 4 national radio stations, 1 International station and more local radios stations than I can count and not a single advert on any of them.
For that £120 we get original home produced internationaly renowned programs like Red Dwarf, Doctor Who, Hithchikers guide to the galaxy and much more.
By comparison I pay £40 a month to Sky for a handful of channels showing repeats off the BBC and known commercial success's from the USA all stuffed full of adverts. All of the decent sporting events shown on Sky used to be on the BBC until Sky outbid them.

So I say Long live the License fee.

Long live
